YumiScan uses automated OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technologies and probabilistic artificial intelligence. These technologies, however advanced, do not guarantee exact, complete, or exhaustive results.

Known technical limitations

  • •The analysis depends on the quality of the image provided: a blurry, poorly framed, or poorly lit photo can lead to erroneous results.
  • •Certain ingredients may be omitted, poorly detected, or misinterpreted by algorithms, particularly when written in a foreign language, abbreviated, or in code form.
  • •Allergens present as traces, derivatives, or scientific names may not be identified.
  • •Artificial intelligence can produce false negatives (allergens present but not reported) or false positives (allergens reported but absent).
  • •No analysis is 100% guaranteed, regardless of the conditions.

Severe or potentially life-threatening allergies

❗ If you suffer from a severe allergy, anaphylaxis, or any food intolerance requiring absolute vigilance:
